This site was set up to highlight the responses and policies of Oxford candidates in the 2015 General Election to climate change and environmental issues. The city of Oxford is split between two Parliamentary constituencies, Oxford East and Oxford West & Abingdon, and both are covered here. There are two main ways of comparing candidates’ views: hustings meetings and written questions.
Two hustings meetings are being organised by local groups specifically on environmental issues, one for each of the Oxford constituencies:
- Oxford East: Wednesday 22 April, 7.30pm in the Assembly Room, Oxford Town Hall.
- Oxford West & Abingdon: Tuesday 28 April, 7.30pm in the Assembly Room, Oxford Town Hall.
A number of local organisations have written to local candidates with specific questions. Here we provide links to those groups’ websites where their questions and the candidates’ responses are published.
